We run a small streaming station for our gaming group. Most of the DJs are either using an old version of SAM or WinAmp with the ShoutCast DSP plugin. Many of them use WinAmp because SAM is incompatible with their OS, etc. but they are finding that WinAmp is constantly crashing are random, scrambling some audio files, blasting mic input into their ears, and so on.
I started using Mixxx. I absolutely love it. It's working great for me and the other DJs are a little hesitant to jump on the Mixxx wagon until I work out all the problems. I've only found one.
Is there a way to have the Live Broadcasting to turn off if it is kicked from the stream? Possible an 'Auto Reconnect' feature that I am not seeing? If the next DJ coming up needs the stream, and the current DJ is not available, they usually kick whoever has the stream using our ShoutCast admin page. One of two things happens with Mixxx. It will either A) crash if it is kicked from the stream or B) it will automatically reconnect. Neither of which are desired.
So basically, I'm looking for a Auto Reconnect setting that can be enabled or disabled, if it looses connectivity to the stream server.
